About the Role

EGS Computers India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled and motivated Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Engineer to join our engineering team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality structural and thermal simulations, collaborating with design teams, and ensuring components meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CAD cleanup and geometry preparation using best practices before meshing.
• Create high-quality meshes for parts and assemblies, selecting appropriate element types and mesh controls.
• Conduct finite element analyses including:
  • Static structural analysis
  • Thermal analysis
  • Nonlinear analysis
• Develop, validate, and optimize FEA models for structural and thermal simulations.
• Analyze and interpret simulation results using appropriate failure theories and engineering principles.
• Provide design improvement recommendations based on simulation outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with design engineers to troubleshoot issues and enhance product designs.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Communicate findings clearly through reports and PowerPoint presentations.

Required qualifications

Education: 

• Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is acceptable for candidates with relevant experience.

 Experience: 

• Experienced Candidates: Minimum of 4-5 years of Experience with FEA
• Entry-level candidates: 1-2 years of relevant experience in FEA. 

Technical skills:

• Proficiency in FEA software:
• Proficiency in CAD software:
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including:
• Strength of Materials
• Machine Design
• Mechanisms
• Fatigue life calculations
• Design calculations
• Knowledge of parametric modeling and auto-meshing techniques.
• Experience in structural and thermal simulations.

Soft skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Good presentation skills, especially using PowerPoint.
• Strong technical report writing
